Membership types

In the Iranian Soil and Science Association

continuous membership

The founders of the association and all people who have at least a master's degree in various fields of agricultural engineering or related fields as determined by the board of directors can become continuous members.

Affiliate Membership

Persons who have an expert degree and have been employed for 5 years in one of the fields of agriculture or related fields as determined by the board of directors. The membership of affiliated members who have at least three years of membership in the association and have performed valuable activities to achieve the goals of the association, can become continuous membership if approved by the association's board of directors.

Student membership

All students who are studying in different fields of agriculture or related fields as determined by the board of directors.

Honorary membership

Iranian and foreign personalities whose scientific status in the field of agriculture is particularly important, or who have made effective and valuable contributions in advancing the goals of the association, can become honorary members of the association with the approval of the board of directors.

Legal members

Governmental and non-governmental organizations that are active in related scientific, research and technical fields can become legal members of the association. Legal members are considered as continuous members of the association and their legal representative can participate in the association meetings with the right to vote.

Terms and conditions

– The association can define different levels and ranks for each of the aforementioned types of membership, based on the bylaws that will be approved by the board of directors.

– Each of the members will pay annually the amount determined by the general assembly as a membership fee. It is possible to pay membership fees for members for several years or for life based on the regulations that will be approved by the board of directors.

– Payment of the membership fee does not create any right or claim to the association’s property for the member.

– Honorary members of the association are exempt from paying membership fees.

The membership is terminated in one of the

following cases

– Written resignation

– Failure to pay the annual membership fee

The approval of termination of membership is with the board of directors.

Failure to pay the annual membership fee will cause the membership to become inactive, and the inactive member can become an active member by paying the membership fee at any time.
